Leadership has never been about having all the answers.
For more than three decades, I've had the privilege of walking alongside leaders, educators, organizations, and communities working to make a difference.
Again and again, I've discovered something encouraging: every person carries strengths, wisdom, and courage they don't always recognize. Sometimes all they need is someone who helps them see those qualities more clearly. That's the work I love.
The work changed before I realized it had.
I began my career in early childhood education because I believed every child deserves caring adults who help them thrive.
Over time, I realized something else. Those adults deserve the very same thing.
Whether I was leading organizations, facilitating leadership cohorts, advocating for policy change, mentoring emerging leaders, or speaking at conferences, my work gradually became less about programs and more about people.
Today, Serving Leader Center simply gives that work a home.
Leadership isn't something practiced only by people with impressive titles.
It's practiced every day by people who listen well, ask thoughtful questions, encourage others, build trust, and choose courage in ordinary moments.
Those are the leaders I most enjoy serving.

People often ask what it's like to work together.
I hope they experience someone who listens first, asks thoughtful questions, and genuinely wants to understand what they're hoping to accomplish.
Sometimes my role is to teach. Sometimes it's to facilitate. Sometimes it's simply to notice a strength someone hasn't yet recognized in themselves.
Whatever the situation, my goal is always the same: helping people grow in ways that bring out the best in themselves and the people they serve.
